Sudha put in a great deal of research on Yakshaganams in order to receive her Ph.D. Aside from her Doctorate, she is making a great and amazing effort in reviving these dying artforms. For the past 10 years, she traveled all over AP and Telangana in her persistent effort to revive these artforms. She believes that artforms such as these should be passed on for generations to come, as they are the heart of India; they make India's culture a vast, deep treasure. They validate India's nickname, the Jewel of the East.
